European junior swimming championship
35th European junior swimming championship was successfully organized by Belgrade and also 32 doping controls were carried out by DCO`s of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia under supervision of LEN delegate.

European youth water polo championship
From July 28th till August 3rd Belgrade and Sport center Banjica was a host of LEN European youth water polo championship for men and DCO`s of ADAS conducted altogether 10 doping controls.

Doping positive cases
Mihajlo Bajlovic, Greco-roman wrestling, category 66-74kg, doping positive on metabolites of stanozolol, is banned from competition for two years. Doping control was done out of competition, on 27th of January 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia.
Dragan Stojnic, karate athlete, discipline KATA, doping positive on Ephedrine, is banned from competition for three months. Doping control was done in competition, on 22th of March 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia, during Serbian Seniors Karate Championship.
Borivoje Macanovic, weightl lifting athlete, doping positive on norandrosterone, is banned from competition for two years. Doping control was done in competition, on 24th of May 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia, during Serbian Seniors Weight Lifting Championship in Indjija.

10th World university taekwondo championship
From July 16th till July 20th Belgrade was a host of 10th World university taekwondo championship and during this big competition Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia successfully performed 32 doping controls under supervision of FISU delegate.

Swimming marathon in Sabac
Swimming marathon was held in Sabac as a part of FINA OPEN WATER GRAND PRIX 2008. Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia was present with their DCO`s who carried out 4 doping controls under suprevision of FINA delegate.

All results of Olympic Candidates doping negative
Anti-doping Agency of Serbia in cooperation with Ministry of Youth and Sport conducted project «100 Olympic candidates». The project have started on January 2007, and finished on Jun 2008, during this period 100 potentional olympic candidates came through doping control. All tested athletes didn't win journey to Beejing, but it is pleasure to know that any representatives of Serbian team didn't have doping positive result.

Borivoje Macanovic, weight lifting athlete, was found doping positive on Norandrosterone
Doping control was done in competition, on 24th of May 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia, during Serbian Seniors Weight Lifting Championship in Indjija.
An analysis of A sample was done in Austrian Research Centers, Seibersdorf. Athlete and Serbian Weight Lifting Association refused analyses of B sample.
We informed International Federation and WADA about this.

ADAS - statistical report from 1st January to 1st July, 2008
Anti-doping Agency of Serbia conducted altogether 268 doping controls until ending of June, 2008. Our Doping Control Officers were present on international competitions (119 doping controls, FIBA EuroCup Men 2008, FIBA EuroLeague Women 2008, CEV Cup, Star cup fencing 08, White Cross 2008, Memorial Artur Tacac, 2nd Qualifying Tournament for Olympic Games, World League Water Polo 08, ISSF World Cup, Vidovdan road race) and on national competitions (101 doping controls Serbian championship- swimming, karate, duathlon, weight lifting, cycling-road race, athletics, Super League football, basketball, volleyball…), Horse racing (4 doping controls) and doping controls conducted out of competition (44). Participants in 22 different sports were tasted. Distribution of national tested athletes per sports you can find in table N°1
Three athletes whose samples resulted in Adverse analytical finding and that result in 2.0% doping positive case in Serbia.

Serbian road championship in cycling
On June 29. Serbian road championship in cycling was held and Anti-doping agency of Serbia performed doping control along with the blood screening of 26 senior competitors.

12th Vidovdan race in Brcko
On 12th Vidovdan road race which was held on June 28 Anti-doping agency of Serbia conducted doping control under a supervision of IAAF. On that competition analyses on erythropoetin(EPO) was performed and it was for the first time that DCO’s of Anti-doping agency of Serbia conducted doping control in Brcko district, Serb Republic.

Bocce – 15th sport in this year
Bocce is the fiftheen sport in 2008 year which athletes underwent procedure of doping control. Doping control officer of ADAS appeared on the bocce sports fieled in Belgrade during last weekend on 22nd june and surprised all parties.

ISSF World Cup in Kovilovo
Anti-doping Agency of Serbia was enggaged to conduct doping control in World Cup for Shotgun in Kovilovo. Alltogether 20 doping controls were performed in all Finals for all disciplines.

World Water polo League
Anti-doping Agency of Serbia has successufully carried out doping controls on World Water polo League this year which was held on May 23rd - 25th 2008. This competition took place at the same time in two different cities Novi Sad and Budva. It was for the first time that our Agency carried out doping controls in Republic of Montenegro.

UNESCO brochure about doping
In cooperation with UNA Serbia, Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia does the translation in Serbian of UNESCO brochure about doping meant to youngest athletes and publishes it. Distribution and promotion of this broshure will take place on 09th of May in Novi Sad and 13th of May in Belgrade. There is plan to promote broshure also in Nis and some others place.

Anti-Doping Rules Seminary, Belgrade
Anti-Doping Rules Seminary took place on 23th of April 2008 in Belgrade, in the place of Ministry of Youth and Sport of Serbia. Employees of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia explained to representatives and doctors of national sports federation basic facts about legal aspects of doping, TUE and ATUE, Whereabouts and ADAMS.

Fight against doping in American foodball in Serbia
Seminar with theme „Fight against doping in American Football in Serbia“ was held on April 19, 2008 at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education. This seminar was supported by Anti-doping Agency of Serbia, Federation of American football in Serbia and Novo Nordisk Pharma d.o.o.
Opening lecture with a topic“Dangerous aspects of steroid misuse in American football“ was presented by Svetozar Damjanovic, MD, PhD, professor in University School of Medicine and director of the University Institute for Endocrinology.
Two other lectures were presented by a doctors who are emplyees of Antidoping agency of Serbia. Second lecturer was dr Valentina Stulic and theme of her presentation was „The most frequent used doping substances with their side effects“. This presentation was planned as a closer aproach to The list of prohibited substances and all the medical issues of doping along with a side effects of the frequent used doping substances.
Third lecturer was dr Jelena Suzic and her presentation „Basic rules and facts about procedure of doping control“ was a way to show all the participants of seminar kee points of doping procedures and to point out all the responsibilities and rights of athletes, medical stuff and people involved in sport associations.
Participant at the seminar were coaches, doctors and administrative stuff of clubs within Federation of American football in Serbia. During the discussion they all showed interest for all the aspects of doping, procedures and responsibilities as well as interest in process of therapeutic use exemptions (TUE).
The end of this seminar was also at the same time opening of Central European Football League in Belgrade and all the participants were invited at the game Belgrade Wolves vs. Zagreb Thunder.

Dragan Stojnic, karate athlete, discipline KATA, was found doping positive on Ephedrine. Doping control was done in competition, on 22th of March 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia, during Serbian Seniors Karate Championship. An analysis of A sample was done in Austrian Research Centers, Seibersdorf. Athlete and Serbian Karate Association refused analyses of B sample.
We informed World Karate Federation, European Karate Federation and WADA about this.

MIHAJLO BAJLOVIC doping positive
Mihajlo Bajlovic, international level athlete competing in Greco-roman wrestling, category 66-74kg, was found doping positive on metabolites of stanozolol. Doping control was done out of competition, on 27th of January 2008 by DCO of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia.

An analysis of A sample was done in Austrian Research Centers, Seibersdorf, on February 14, 2008. On athletes request, analyses of B sample was done on March 17-18, 2008, in same laboratory in Austria, in presence of Mihajlo Bajlovic and his team doctor Dr. Tanja Nastasic Stoskovic, as well as, representatives of Anti-Doping Agency Of Serbia and sample B analyses confirmed Adverse Analytical Finding –Stanozolol metabolites.
We informed WADA, International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles and Serbian Wrestling Association about this.

DOPING CONTROLS IN FIBA COMPETITIONS
International Basketball Federation, FIBA Europe, make an agreement with Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia in purpose of Doping Control testing in following competitions: EuroLeague Women 2007/08 and EuroCup Men 2007/08.
This was the first case that FIBA assigned one National Anti-Doping Organization for doping controls on their competitions.
